THE WHISPERING MIRROR
Late one evening, Sarah was cleaning out her grandmother’s old room who died in a car accident. She stumbled upon a dusty, antique mirror which was her Grandmother's favorite. It was beautifully carved but had a strange feel to it. Curious, she brought it downstairs and placed it in her room.
That night,
as Sarah prepared her bed, she noticed something strange. Whenever she looked
into the mirror, she could hear faint whispers. Thinking it was just her tired
mind playing tricks, she ignored it and went to sleep.
Around
midnight, the whispers grew louder. Sarah sat up, staring at the mirror. This
time, she could speak out the words “Come closer... we want you…” Terrified,
Sarah tried to look away but something pulled her gaze back. As she stepped
closer, her reflection began to change. Instead of her own face, she saw a pale
woman with yellowish eyes who was just like her grandmother.
Frozen in
fear, Sarah backed away, but the woman’s hand pressed against the glass, and a
crack formed. The whispers turned into strange laughter, echoing through her
room. Desperate, Sarah grabbed a blanket and covered the mirror.
The room fell
silent.
The next
morning, she decided to return the mirror to the attic, but when she
uncovered it,
her reflection was gone. In its place was a note scratched onto the
glass: “We’re
waiting.”
Then she
never went near that attic again.
