DETECTIVE AZAN
Ali
picked up his saw and went into the forest to cut trees for wood. Just ten
minutes later, people in the nearby town heard a loud scream coming from the
forest. They rushed to the scene and found Ali dead. It appeared as though he
had been attacked and killed by a wild animal. The townspeople immediately
contacted a detective named Muhammad Azan from the nearby city. They explained
the entire incident and mentioned that there were only birds and insects in the
forest—no wild animals had ever been seen there. They also pointed out that a
family in the town had a dog that might have been involved.
Azan
went to the family's home and examined the dog. He noticed blood on its fur.
The family explained that a man named Ahmad would come every day to take the
dog for a walk. They said that today, Ahmad had told them that the dog had been
running when it accidentally bumped into a tree. Azan collected a sample of the
blood and sent it to the forensic lab. He also took down Ahmad's address.
The
next day, Azan traveled to Ahmad’s house, which was located 30 miles away. He
knocked on the door, but no one answered. He continued knocking for almost two
minutes before an elderly man finally opened the door. Azan asked him about
Ahmad, to which the man replied, "I don’t know anyone named Ahmad. I just
moved here today." Azan, confused, asked, "Who sold you this
house?" The man answered, "I bought it from Mr. Saad." Azan was
puzzled by this response.
Five
hours later, Azan received a report from the forensic lab. The blood on the dog
was not only Ali's but also belonged to another person, who was likely Ahmad.
A
few days later, a young man named Qasim, who was also cutting trees in the
forest, heard the sound of a dog. He quickly called Detective Azan. The man,
accompanied by the dog, tried to flee but was captured by Azan.
Azan
pressured him to confess. The man revealed, "My name is Daud. I used to
live happily with my family. One day, Ali robbed my house. After the robbery,
we lost all our money, and my family died due to the hardships we faced. Two
days after the robbery, I lost my job. I wanted revenge for all the suffering I
endured. I knew you would eventually find me, so I sold my house a day before
the incident. For the murder of Ali, I used someone else’s dog and gave
different names to different people to avoid being caught. But you ruined my
plan!"
Azan
replied, "You broke the law, and now you will face the consequences."
Two
weeks later, the court sentenced Daud to death by hanging.
