JASMINE FLOWER AND THE TISSUE PAPER
Once there was a used tissue paper that was blown by the wind outside
from a house to a beautiful garden of jasmine flowers. When it reached near a
bunch of jasmine flowers, one of the jasmine flowers exclaimed, “Hello sister,
do you know you and I share the same DNA!” Startled by this sudden revelation,
the tissue paper asked, “How do you know? I don’t understand this.” Jasmine
flower replied, “I know this because Dr. Rose told me so. Dr. Rose checked our
DNA.” The tissue paper recalled and said, “Oh yes, I just remembered that I
used to be a jasmine flower too before being processed into tissue paper by
human beings. Upon this, Jasmine flower replied in sorrow, “It means that I
will be converted into a tissue paper too and butterflies will not be able to
enjoy my nectar?” Tissue paper said, “Sadly, yes! And people will blow their
nose, wipe their hands and wounds with you.” This further worried the jasmine
flower. Soon, it began to rain and the tissue paper swept away almost vanishing
from Earth and the jasmine flower began to cry loudly. Seeing this, its mother
consoled the jasmine flower by telling it, “Live each moment to the fullest, we
all are here for a specific purpose and will leave the dear Earth one day. Just
do your best and go with nature!” Jasmine understood her mother’s advice and
became cheerful once again.
