ECSTASY OF OLD AGE
In
days of youth, we chase the sun,
Our
hearts afire, and our spirits won.
But
as the years go by, we find,
A
beauty in the passing of time.
The
lines upon our face, they tell,
A
story of a life well-lived.
Of
laughter, love, and tears that fell
And
memories that we hold dear.
Our
eyes, once bright, now soft and wise,
Have
seen the rise and fall of skies.
And
in their depths, a gentle light,
That
shines with grace and dignity.
Our
hair, once full of life and bounce,
Now
silver, like the moon's soft glow.
A
testament to life's sweet course,
And
all the love we've known below.
Our
hands, once strong, now wrinkled and worn,
Have
held the hands of those we've loved.
In
old age, we find peace, and beauty that the years release,
For
all the joys and all the strife,
Have
brought us to this place of life.
So
let us embrace this time of grace,
And cherish every moment we find,
For in the ecstasy of old age,
We
find the ecstasy of the heart and mind.
