TURNING THE PAGE
We stand at the edge of a moment in time,
Where the ink of the past still lingers in
rhyme,
The pages behind us, heavy and worn,
Hold memories etched, both mended and torn.
If we do not drop the weight of our past,
Misery will await us at every stop of our
journey,
No one knows what is behind this mask of ours,
Yet here we are now, with the future untold,
A chapter unwritten, a story to unfold.
The turning is quiet, like whispers of breeze,
A promise of journeys across unknown seas,
The Commitments the sorrows,
The hands that we use to lift the new sheet,
Are stronger from pages we've already beat.
Yet lighter, they feel, with a hope that is
bright,
Ready to scribble in lines of pure light.
Once there is a past
What if within one ending, there is a new
beginning?
Turning the page is more than a possibility
It’s giving your soul a rationale to voice,
That life, like a book, is never quite done,
Each ending is just where new tales have
begun.
So, turn it with courage, and turn it with
grace,
Each line is a heartbeat, each word an
embrace.
And know! as you journey through chapters
ahead,
The page that you write will forever be read.
