DAWN TO DUSK
The sun goes down,
A dark sky is crowned.
My hands break me down,
Yet I love, even when I’m knocked down.
I used to achieve what nobody could.
Now I can’t do much, though I wish I
would.
I fall apart for not being decent—
Every pain leaves behind a dent.
I can’t make any advancement,
Forgetting all of life’s enjoyment.
Is the sky full of equipment?
Still, it’s not enough for my
establishment!
I can’t forget those feats—
They were my life’s best beats.
Now I’m left hidden,
Weighed down by a burden.
That was the sky,
Where no one could say goodbye.
Everyone was my ally,
And I was all I could justify.
