IF I WOULD BE THE PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY

I have always dreamt to become the Principal of my school. I have enjoyed dreaming what would I do if I will be the Principal for a day. The Principal’s room always fascinates me. It symbolizes power and authority. It’s a privilege to enter the room and even more when a day is spent there. If I would become the Principal to first thing I shall implement is to come in casual clothes and not in uniform because uniform changes a student to a mere roll number, with no identity of his/her own. Moreover, variety which is the spice of life is also taken away. The second thing would be to ensure that no teacher would scold the student even if he/she does mischievous acts. No teacher would give homework to students because this is the most terrible reason for being scolded. I would not ask them to appear in any exam. I would ban all tests. I would also suggest that after 3 hours of study, they should be given one hour for playing, one hour for talking and one hour for eating. The third and most important thing I would do is to allow them to carry phones with them for one day. On another day, they would watch movie. No need to carry any text book to home, all stuff should be kept here in school. It does not mean that school will only be a leisure place. I would introduce technology as an essential part with equipped latest resources. Laptops would be compulsory for them to carry. So finally school would not be a boring place. It would equip you to study with latest gadgets.
